Logitech Litra Glow Give Streamers A Compact, Portable Alternative To Ring Lights

Whether you’re a streamer, a vlogger, or a dude who spends most of the workday in Zoom meetings, you spend a lot of time in front of a camera. If you want to look your best in the frame, a good camera is not enough, with proper lighting being just as important for setting up a flattering shot. If you spend your camera time sitting in front of a PC on a desk, the Logitech Litra Glow just might make for a suitable lighting solution.

Purpose-built specifically for streaming setups, the light is designed to illuminate a typical workstation, wrapping the subject in a soft and flattering light that should make even an unkempt, unwashed, and Doritos-crumbs-on-his-face three-viewer streamer look somewhat professional. Whether you’re a game streamer, a just chatter, or a degenerate online gambler who works out of a racing-style gaming chair, this thing should level up the visual mood and tone of your videos in significant ways.

The Logitech Litra Glow is a square-shaped lighting panel that’s designed for mounting on top of the monitor, right next to your webcam, with adjustable height, tilt, and rotation, allowing you to customize the position to your exact liking. It uses the outfit’s TrueSoft technology, which claims to deliver a soft, diffused, and accurate LED light that’s gentle on the eyes, ensuring you never come off too harsh, whether you’re on a Twitch stream, a YouTube VOD, or a Zoom call with sponsors.

They pair that lighting with a proprietary precision optics lens whose innovative geometry works together with the frameless diffuser to bring a wide and glare-free light output. It does that without the usual problems in portable camera lighting, too, such as sharp edges, harsh shadows, hotspots, and falloff, as it blends the final seven degrees of horizontal light coverage, ensuring soft edges for the light that will look good even on wide angle webcams.

The Logitech Litra Glow has a maximum output of 250 lumens and a 93 CRI rating, which, the outfit claims, allows it to deliver optimized brightness for desktop streaming while producing cinema-quality light that renders beautifully on webcam setups. Logitech points out that it’s cleared the strictest UL testing guidelines, as well, making it viable for multi-hour and multi-day streaming marathons without the danger of those electrical parts overheating. It’s got physical controls, with buttons for adjusting brightness and color temperature available from the back, while built-in cable management allows you to integrate it neatly into your workspace.

Designed for plug-and-play use, you simply plug it into any USB power source to immediately use, with the physical buttons allowing you to control it without any software interface. Of course, if you prefer not getting up to adjust the light any time you want the stream to look different, you can opt to hook it up to a computer (Windows and Macs only) to get access to the companion software. It can also mount on standard tripods, by the way, if you remove the integrated monitor mount.

The Logitech Litra Glow is available now.
