Coworkers may not be as near and dear to you as family and friends, but they are individuals you spend a significant amount of time with throughout the day. Whether you spend those hours collaborating, arguing, or just plain fraternizing, it’s an important relationship that’s worth celebrating with presents, especially during holidays and special occasions.
Folks tend to be a little faster and looser when it comes to shopping for their coworkers. That’s perfectly fine. There are far less expectations when it comes to coworker gifts, after all. However, getting gifts that they’re more likely to enjoy and find useful is always a lot better. Here are some nice ideas.
Mind Reader Nightstand Valet Tray
Desk organizers are great. Given that most people don’t really keep a dozen writing implements and accessories on their desk anymore, we imagine a valet tray will work so much better. You know… just a handy place to tidy up all the loose stuff that would otherwise end up strewn around the desk. This nice-looking PU leather catchall is small enough to fit into most workspaces, all while having enough room to stash all tiny stuff you put on the desk when you empty your pocket. All four corners are held up by snap buttons, which you can undo if you want to flatten this for storing in the drawer when not in use.
Logitech Desk Mat
Desk mats make great office gifts. Everyone instantly finds it useful, all while genuinely improving their workspace setup, especially with this one, which has an anti-slip rubber compound base, a spill-resistant top, and anti-fray stitching on the seams, so it stays looking good for a long time. Designed to go under both your mouse and keyboard, this desk mat boasts an effortless glide for your mouse, while being incredibly easy to clean. Just find one in their favorite color to personalize it a bit.
Hario Cold Brew Bottle 1200ml
Just like there are folks at the office that are always sipping coffee, there are usually a few who prefer their caffeine in the form of some refreshing iced tea instead. Those folks will likely appreciate this bottle, which the outfit touts as “the simplest way to make and enjoy cold brew iced tea.” It has a decanter shape that allows for exceptional brewing, while a fine mesh strainer filters as you pour, ensuring no tea leaves ever leave the bottle. While designed for cold brew tea, it should also work great for making infused water and fruit juices.
Bestinnkits Coffee Warmer
Many offices are so cold, your steaming hot coffee can turn lukewarm after a few minutes of sitting out. This heating plate provides a constant stream of heat that strive to keep beverages at temperatures of around 55 degrees Celsius, all while coming in a size and shape that can accommodate most mugs and cups. Obviously, thinner mugs with flat bottoms will work best, but it does the job for most drinking vessels we’ve tried. Do note, this powers through a wall outlet (or a power strip), so it might limit where you can position this in a desk. Then again, that’s your coworker’s problem.
Stanley Neverleak Mug 20oz
Some people just need a lot of coffee to get going in the morning. If you work with those, they might appreciate being able to get a big supply of caffeine with a single trip to the coffee machine. This 20oz coffee mug should let you do that, all while keeping the beverage hot for up to seven hours, courtesy of its 18/8 stainless steel walls and QuadVac insulation. It comes with a leak-resistant cap sporting a mouthpiece that can be unlocked with a single push, so you can get a sip without having to unscrew the entire top completely.
Fellow Atmos Vacuum Canister
Does your coworker keep a stash of fresh coffee or tea leaves within reach at all times? Help them keep it fresher for longer with this airtight sealed container, which lets you get rid of air inside the compartment by simply twisting the lid back and forth. Even better, it won’t just work its freshness-preserving magic for coffee and tea, but for any kind of small snacks they like to keep on hand while they’re grinding through the workday.
Bellroy Tech Kit
Got a coworker who regularly fiddles with 10 peripherals, half a dozen cables, and multiple other electronics throughout their workday? Help them organize that mess with this clamshell bag, which comes with multiple stretch pockets and loops sized to handle modern consumer electronics. It has a zippered opening that goes through three sides, allowing it to open flat for easy access to the main compartment. The shell is made from leather, with the compartment lined in water-resistant woven fabric.
Leather Satchel Co. Small Leather Notebook Cover
For the note-taking aficionado, this leather folio is sized to accommodate small notebooks, from pocket-sized Field Notes to slightly larger A6 notebooks, giving them a classy way to dress up that bundle of paper they’re always scribbling their ideas on. It’s offered in over two dozen colors, so you can get it in your recipient’s favorite shades, complete with the option to personalize it by having their initials embossed out front. Each one, by the way, is cut in 100 percent cowhide leather and handcrafted in the outfit’s Liverpool workshop.
Lume Cube Video Conference Lighting Kit
For the coworker unhappy with how they look on their 4K webcam, you could help them out with this handy lighting kit. Designed to attach behind monitors via a suction cup, it gives you an easy-to-use LED light to instantly improve your presence in Zoom meetings and video calls. It has a built-in frosted lens and a white diffuser that can really soften the light to give you that professional glow, all while allowing you to adjust brightness from one to 100 percent for total control. You can also customize color temperature to complement your skin tone.
Humanscale FR300 Ergonomic Foot Rocker
Being able to put your feet up on a raised platform creates one of the best ergonomic positions for those long hours of sitting at work. While pricey, we’re really fond of this model from Humanscale, whose hardwood platform and steel base frame creates a sturdy and hardwearing place to rest your feet on, ensuring it will last a lot longer than much cheaper alternatives. It uses ball-bearing rollers that allow the wooden platform to glide through the metal frame, making it possible to keep your feet moving to improve circulation on the leg.
